Hungarians like to eat very much, and very good at cooking as well. Even cooking channels in the television is very popular. If you check tripadvisor.com ratings of Budapest restaurants, very hard to find restaurants with ratings of 3 out of 5, even on the 46th page. It does not mean there are no bad quality restaurants in Budapest, or you would like anything you can eat here, but most of the people are happy what you can eat here. There are many restaurants in Budapest several hundred or even several thousand if we count fast food places and buffets as well. If you want really tasty foods, restaurants are way better than fast food places.
Costes the first restaurant in Budapest with a Michelin star
Best restaurants in Budapest
In Budapest the following restaurants got a Michelin star: Costes, Onyx, Borkonyha, Tanti. I think it is a huge acknowledgement for a restaurant. But don’t think that only 4 good restaurant can be found in Budapest, I think there are hundreds of them. Apart from the main Hungarian cuisine line, there are Japan, Indian, Chinese, Italian, Greek, Thai, Slovak, Serbian, Turkish, Sea fish and who knows what kind of other restaurants can be found here. Totally there are approximately 500 restaurants in Budapest, if I count every place you can eat something can be as much as 2000, and growing. Fast food places are not that good, as the real restaurants.
Those who don’t want to spend much I suggest two choices: Trofea grill restaurants for fixed price, here you can eat as many as you can, or the fastfood places in the West End shopping mall, where there is a wide selection of foods at a fixed price, starting about 3 Euros a main course without soup and beverages. There is a fastfood in almost any shopping malls the prices are the same but the quality is up and down. The safe choice is usually if there is the Il Treno pizzeria which is there in several shopping malls.

There are four Michelin star restaurants in Budapest listed below. The first was the Costes in the Raday street. The Borkonyha (Wine kitchen) is more like a Bistro in the inner city. The Onyx is located in the City center near Deak square, while Tanti is in the Buda region in Apor Vilmos square.

The Gundel family is the most famous family associated

famous pancake, which according to our knowledge is

Everything I ate here is very tasty. See fishes, meats, dressings, sweets. A very nice atmosphere, next to the Danube, but there are cheaper places in the city as well, especially if you taste many kinds food. They often offer foods for free as a gift which helps you to eat more (and spend more).
